On Thursday 28th February, Braemore Sales & Lettings hosted its second successful FREE property seminar at our new City Centre office.
With just a few weeks until the UK leaves the European Union, with or without a deal, Brexit is the topic that is on everyone’s mind. Regardless of your stance on Brexit or how you voted in the EU referendum, with the date of departure fast approaching, there are many unknowns surrounding Brexit and how this will affect our property market.
We were not there to get into a political debate with you or to give our opinion about Brexit. Our goal was to provide you with useful information to help give clarity to the uncertainty surrounding the Post-Brexit Property Market and to give tips on how to navigate through this unchartered territory with confidence and success.
We were joined by 5 Guest Speakers, who were keen to share their expert knowledge about the property market with sales and purchase transactions, property investment, financial and tax information, as well as a residential conveyancing guide. Answering questions such as:
- What does Brexit mean for house prices in Edinburgh & the Lothians?
- Should you sell / buy a property now or should you wait?
- What should we expect with tax changes after Brexit?
- How will Brexit affect the legal conveyancing process for property purchase & sales?
Property agents are often accused of being overly optimistic and we feel that we have good reason to be. If you took away one message from last night’s seminar, we hope it would be: HAVE CONFIDENCE!
People still need to move house – whether it is their first home purchase, moving up the property market ladder with their forever family home, or going into a new rental property – and with the strong economy we have here in Edinburgh, it is clear that this is the best city to invest in!
